Timmons has further acting projects lined up, and is preparing to release new music with 98 Degrees. “I’m excited to hear it,” enthused Timmons, who just wrapped portraying a pastor in the Pure Flix film, “Baking Up Love”, out Sept. It’s turning out to be a fricking gem, so I cannot wait for our fans to hear it.” This is our first ever Christmas album in 28 years - it’s nuts. “There was a Christmas tree and our names on stockings hanging on a fake fireplace. “It was a really happy, jolly experience,” McLean said about the moment he saw his bandmates again. The quintet’s Los Angeles sessions marked the first time they were reunited since their DNA world tour slammed to a halt amid COVID-19 in March 2020. McLean is also involved in another Backstreet Boys/*NSYNC collaboration - alongside Carter, Lance Bass and Joey Fatone - which he teased will be a great “celebration for Pride.” In addition, the father of two has been recording the Backstreet Boys’ upcoming Christmas album. McLean has meanwhile released his single “Love Song Love,” which he sang live for the first time at Saturday’s fundraiser. “I’ve got a three-and-a-half-year-old kid that keeps me busy eight days a week, which is awesome,” he said. Kirkpatrick has been hosting events and relishing fatherhood to son, Nash, who he shares with wife, Karly. There were underlying things that we all had. “Back in the day, there was competitiveness. “We always had a mutual respect for these guys and didn’t see it as a competitive situation, but as you get older you appreciate the opportunities you have to do this kind of stuff ,” Timmons said. Timmons, 48, noted that 98 Degrees felt more competitive internally than with their peers.
